Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC) equips those of us from historically frontline communities to have a hand in creating innovative, sustainable and green solutions that help us shift power dynamics by creating more beautiful, resilient and thriving communities.

Clean Green & Beautiful Baltimore Community Change Collaborative (CG2B3C)
CG2B3C is a coalition of 13 neighborhood associations and community-based nonprofits working to develop greening initiatives and build climate resilience in seven frontline communities in Baltimore, MD. BGJWC serves as the lead nonprofit and is providing subgrant awards and GIS StoryMap support to eligible CG2B3C partners.

BGJWC is building community in frontline communities with residents and church members via treewell clean-ups and flower plantings.
Unpaid Internships & Limited Paid Fellowships for College & Grad Students
Via Handshake, college & grad students can apply to complete an unpaid semester-long internship with BGJWC.
Building Bridges from Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) to Baltimore, MD
BGJWC is fostering meaningful connections between residents in frontline communities in Baltimore City and Dar es Salaam through cultural exchange, shared learning, and collaborative efforts to strengthen climate resilience. Through these partnerships, community members have opportunities to exchange knowledge, celebrate cultural traditions, and explore innovative, community-driven solutions to environmental and climate-related challenges.

A drop-in location where residents can get clean energy resource information, referrals and training.
BGJW Co-op
BGJWC staff and Board of Directors are participating in a series of co-op fellowships, trainings an conference to grow their capacity to launch the BGJW Co-op. Additionally, they are partnering with other cooperators to build community and support.
Building Co-op Community & Support
Annual Kwanzaa Celebration
BGJWC launched in 2022 with its inaugural Kwanzaa celebration. Every year since then, BGJWC has coordinated annual Kwanzaa celebrations with community partners.
